I hope you all continue to enjoy this beautiful summer! As we move into the month of August, this summer edition of the Brywood Briefing includes updates and important information for your planning. With the school year officially starting in just a few weeks on Tuesday, August 19th, I ask that you please take a few minutes to review the highlights below.
Please know that additional information will be emailed to you as we get closer to the start of the school year. Our front office will reopen on Monday, August 11th, should you need additional support or have any questions.

School News and Information
Supply Lists
Please CLICK HERE to access the suggested Supply Lists. Brywood Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. However, you may choose to assist the school by purchasing the following supplies for your student. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
Who is MY CHILD'S Teacher?
You will find your child's class information (teacher name) after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18 via Parent Portal.
2025-26 Calendar
You can find the 25-26 school calendar HERE. Be sure to check this calendar for scheduled minimum days before planning any upcoming vacations.
Bell Schedule
You can find the 25-26 Bell Schedule here. School begins promptly at 8:00 AM for students in grades 4th-6th and at 8:10 AM for students in grades 1st-3rd. School is dismissed at 2:15 PM in grades 1st-3rd and at 2:30 PM in grades 4th-6th. Minimum days have a 1:20 PM and 1:25 PM early dismissal. Students in Pre-Kindergarten (PK) and Kindergarten will be on an 8:10 AM - 11:30 AM or 10:10 AM - 1:30 PM daily schedule.
Please note that the first two days of school (August 19th & 20th) are MINIMUM DAYS.
Lunch Information
All students on campus will receive free meals this school year. CLICK HERE to learn more about free and reduced price meal programs in IUSD.
You can find the School Lunch Menu HERE. Please note that "breakfast" is served during recess times for 1st - 6th grades. Parents will be sent the school lunch pin (code) for their child via email prior to the school year starting.
Transportation
Please remember that on school days, the front parking lot is closed to non-staff vehicular traffic before and after school. Parents dropping students off are encouraged to review this map of our traffic flow and identify loading zones that will be utilized.
Students walking or biking (3rd-6th only) to school are reminded to follow all traffic laws and utilize crosswalks for their safety. Please remember that e-bikes, e-scooters, & e-skateboards are not acceptable forms of transportation to or from school for elementary-aged students, nor should they be used on our campus.
Middle and high school students who ride e-vehicles to and from school are required to attend an e-vehicle safety presentation by IPD and obtain a permit. Presentations and permits are not available to elementary-aged students.
